Synopsis:
Set once upon a time on a remote Irish island buffeted by violent storms, 'The Tale Of Two Humans' is a universal folktale about a simple peasant couple longing to have a child in a universe that seems to be conspiring against them. Having already delivered three stillborn babies to the childless couple, the old midwife scolds the disconsolate Rootcutter that one more pregnancy could be fatal to his wife. Despite his giving up the notion of ever having a family of his own, his loving and deeply religious wife is still willing to try again, leaving it up to God's will to provide. Feeling cursed over their plight in life, the Rootcutter suddenly senses a shift in their universe when a young clairvoyant predicts that they will leave a footprint behind. This prophecy forever changes the couple's lives when a forsaken child destines them to tragedy and myth. ©2013 Joseph Nobile
